Sam Vanderhoof, CEO
Sam Vanderhoof is a Solar Pioneer in the renewable energy field. He brings more than 40 years of solar experience, engineering, designing and manufacturing solar panels, inverters, and other solar related equipment. Sam was instrumental in the building of several notable renewable energy companies such as Independent Power, Kyocera Solar, Trace Engineering (Xantrex/Schneider), Schott Solar, and SMA America. He founded and continues to grow Solar CowboyZ, a thriving consulting firm, offering comprehensive photovoltaic (PV) and renewable energy consulting services.
About 4 years ago, Sam was concerned about the growing need for dealing with decommissioned solar panels and is now spearheading recycling and reuse of solar panel technologies throughout the Americas.
Peter Beadle, President
Peter Beadle began his career in the aviation industry where he was Principal Environmental Scientist on the Concorde Air Craft program in the UK. This was followed by over twenty years with BP oil, in combustion technology research which lead to openings to a new career path with BP’s newly emerging renewable energy market presence. He was the first President of BP Solar Inc., the company’s US arm, and helped to launch its US market activities and CdTe manufacturing operation. Starting from ground zero, he took the business to number 3 in the US.
After BP Solar, Beadle continued to follow the US solar industry consulting for a number of entities including McDermott Technologies International, Meridian Energy, and Jane Capital Partners. At the same time, he became a founder and CEO of Greenjobs, LLC, a leading renewable energy recruitment site.
Peter joins Recycle Solar PV from retirement after spending the second half of 2018, working with the team during the company’s gestation.
He holds a BSc (First Class) and Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Kristina Whitney, CFO
Kristina is the founder of You Love Solar, www.youlovesolar.com an online company dedicated to the repowering of orphaned, legacy solar PV systems. Kristina works with both Operation and Maintenance (O&M) companies and end users with the main goal of keeping the older solar PV systems in good operational condition. Kristina’s primary focus has been market development in the solar PV industry. She enjoys sales and is passionate about developing and teaching others the needs in the industry that go beyond just Solar PV arrays. She spends many hours, freely volunteering her time with off-grid communities, to provide education and solar products, such as solar water pumping, marine, RV, offgrid solar battery systems and inverters. She is a current licensed, professional Real Estate Agent since 2002. She’s been working in the solar industry since 2009.
Kristina is a founding member of Recycle PV Solar. She coordinates efforts with our European partner, PV Cycle and heads up the logistics and sales for the company.
